Panasonic announces a smaller Aquarea M; 5–9 kW models are expected in spring 2027
The 12 October announcement outlines an R290 air-to-water range expansion. The compact indoor unit is 1,427 mm tall; a specific Spanish sales date is not confirmed.

What was announced
Panasonic has announced a compact expansion of its Aquarea High-Performance M R290 air-to-water heat-pump range. Its UK release of 12 October describes 3, 5, 7 and 9 kW versions for new homes and renovation projects. This is separate from the R454C-based N Series.
The all-in-one indoor unit is 1,427 mm tall, 215 mm lower than the existing model. The single-fan outdoor unit measures 996 × 1,200 × 430 mm. Several configurations are described, including an all-in-one pairing and solutions using a control module.
Panasonic gives spring 2027 for the 5, 7 and 9 kW models. The announcement specifies neither prices nor a Spanish sales date or local availability of the 3 kW version. It therefore does not establish that these new variants can already be purchased for an immediate installation.
Reduced height may matter when a small plant room limits a renovation. A project still needs checks of full installation clearances, service access, required heating capacity and the configurations actually supplied in Spain.
What it means for your home
A future option to assess when plant-room height is limited. Capacity and the actual delivery date need confirmation for the individual home.
