Common questions about solar panel installation
How many solar panels does my home need?
The right size depends on electricity use throughout the day, usable roof space, orientation and shading. Electricity bills and roof information provide a starting point. Floor area alone cannot determine the number of panels, and annual consumption should be considered alongside the times when you use power.
What affects the cost of solar panel installation?
The price depends on system size, panels, inverter, mounting, roof access and electrical work. Battery storage, backup equipment or an EV charger change the scope. Compare quotes that identify the equipment, installation, documentation and any work that still needs a site-specific assessment.
Will a solar battery keep the power on during an outage?
A battery stores electricity, but does not automatically provide power during a grid outage. That requires compatible backup equipment and a dedicated backup circuit arrangement designed for the selected loads. Grid-connected solar can also operate without a battery; assess storage and backup separately against your needs. Backup equipment and associated work are itemized separately; the scope and final cost are confirmed for the selected configuration.
