Midea brings heating and home energy management to Chillventa

In Nuremberg, Midea showed H-Pack pilot projects and coordinated control of heating, batteries, solar and EV charging. It also announced R290 for PortaSplit in 2027, without setting a Spanish launch date.

What was announced

Midea presented its residential systems at Chillventa in Nuremberg on 13–15 October 2026. Its 15 October company release highlighted European H-Pack pilot projects and MHELIOS energy management. This was an exhibition presentation, rather than confirmation that the complete range is already on sale in Spain.

H-Pack is an indoor heat pump that does without an outdoor unit. Midea says it supports fully electric or hybrid operation and remote diagnostics. This architecture may be relevant where facades are restricted, although a home installation still needs a design suited to the building and local requirements.

MHELIOS coordinates EV chargers, heat pumps, solar generation and storage. The company describes adjusting storage and consumption to dynamic electricity prices. Its value for a Spanish home depends on compatible equipment, the electricity contract and actual use; the release provides no guaranteed saving for Spain.

Midea also announced that PortaSplit will adopt R290 refrigerant in 2027. The announcement gives no Spanish price or availability date and no complete specification for that version. Before selecting equipment, check the commercial model’s technical sheet, installation requirements and local support: a 2027 plan does not mean immediate availability.

What it means for your home

Heating, charging and batteries are worth planning together as coordinated loads. Exhibition demonstrations and 2027 plans still require checks of availability and compatibility before an order.
