Iberdrola passes 97,000 installed charging points, mostly private
The company reports over 85,000 points in homes and businesses and over 12,000 public points in Spain. This is its activity report, not the country’s total charger count.

What was announced
Iberdrola España published a deployment update on 15 October 2026 reporting more than 97,000 installed charging points. The figure combines private and public installations associated with its activity. It is neither Spain’s total nor 97,000 new points installed this month.
The company reports over 85,000 points in homes and businesses, alongside over 12,000 for public use. The private category includes both customer groups; it must not be read as 85,000 homes equipped with chargers.
Iberdrola says its current pace exceeds 100 installations a day. It also reports more than 2,000 a month for individuals, nearly 100 for businesses and over 200 public points. These are company deployment figures, rather than a live availability map for every connector.
For a homeowner, the relevant development is the scale of private charging alongside public infrastructure. Charger selection still depends on the vehicle, electrical installation, available power and daily routine. Network growth alone cannot establish a particular home’s installation price or charging savings.
What it means for your home
Plan home charging alongside household loads, with public charging supporting trips. Deployment totals do not replace an assessment of the home’s installation.
