Spain’s piped LPG price rises 12.4% per kg from 20 October
The 19 October BOE sets the new regulated piped LPG price at €1.018396/kg before tax. The fixed charge stays at €1.60/month.

What was announced
Spain’s BOE of 19 October 2026 publishes the resolution signed on the 15th updating piped LPG prices nationwide. From 00:00 on 20 October, the end-user price will be €1.018396/kg plus a fixed charge of €1.60/month, both before tax. This is an adopted resolution, not a proposal.
The variable component increases from €0.906022 to €1.018396/kg, approximately 12.4%. The fixed charge is unchanged. This percentage applies to the price per kilogram, not the entire bill, which also depends on consumption, the fixed charge and taxes.
The tariff concerns LPG delivered through pipes to end users. It should not be confused with the natural-gas TUR tariff or bottled-gas prices. The final amount also depends on the taxes applicable in each territory; the published figures exclude them.
For billing periods spanning 20 October, the resolution requires consumption to be apportioned by the days before and after that date, applying the respective prices. Comparing an LPG boiler with a heat pump requires actual consumption, system efficiencies and the electricity tariff: this increase alone does not establish a particular payback period.
What it means for your home
Check whether your contract is for piped LPG and review how the next bill splits consumption. Do not apply this rise to natural gas or assume guaranteed savings from changing heating systems.
