Altherma 4 EPSKS: new 4, 6 and 7 kW classes
Daikin adds smaller R-290 capacities for insulated homes. It specifies water temperatures up to 70°C under stated conditions; each home needs a heat-load calculation.

What was announced
On 15 January, Daikin announced new Altherma 4 EPSKS sizes: 4, 6 and 7 kW. These are lower-capacity additions to the Altherma 4 family, rather than the initial launch of the whole range. They use R-290 refrigerant.
The proposal targets homes with moderate heat demand, including well-insulated properties. The manufacturer states water temperatures up to 70 °C under specified conditions; that figure does not describe every installation's performance throughout the year.
Selection requires a heat-loss calculation and a review of radiators, underfloor heating or other emitters. Floor area alone cannot determine 4, 6 or 7 kW. Hot-water demand, local climate and location requirements also matter.
What it means for your home
Selection requires heat-loss calculations and checks of emitters, noise, location and local availability. Confirm connected-service conditions too.
