Castilla-La Mancha: new home energy renovation grants open for applications on 27 October

What was announced

A €50 million call was published on 13 October. Applications are not yet open: the window begins on 27 October at 09:00 local time and ends on 30 November 2026, unless funding runs out earlier. The budget is allocated across 2027–2029; awards remain conditional on adequate funding being available.

The programme covers residential buildings in Castilla-La Mancha completed before 2006. Eligible applicants include private owners without business activity, owners’ associations and qualifying cooperatives. Works must not start before the application is registered, with an exception for preparatory costs such as design work and certificates. A project and energy performance evidence are required.

Separate solar and heat pump installations fall under line 2 for multi-family residential buildings. Detached homes can qualify under line 3 for comprehensive renovation to minimal energy consumption. This is therefore not a general grant for installing panels or a heat pump in any detached house.

The usual minimum eligible project cost is €200,000. That threshold does not apply to detached homes under line 3, but its technical conditions still do: thermal transmittance limits or B/B heating and cooling demand ratings, at least 70% ventilation heat recovery and a minimum 60% reduction in non-renewable primary energy.

Grant amounts depend on the line and performance achieved, subject to caps. Additional support for financially vulnerable owners requires specific evidence and is not automatic. Complete applications are ranked by submission date and time. Before committing to works, check that the project meets the official call’s conditions.
