Balearic Islands close FACTOR 2026 applications early
BOIB’s 17 October resolution brings the FACTOR deadline forward to its publication day. The former February 2027 deadline no longer allows new applications.

What was announced
BOIB issue 132 of 17 October 2026 publishes a resolution signed on 15 October changing the FACTOR 2026-2027 deadline in the Balearic Islands. Applications ended on 17 October itself, replacing the original 28 February 2027 deadline. As of 18 October, the application window is closed.
The administration says applications exceed both available funding and the amount that a possible budget increase could provide. This is not a new call or an extension: it is an early closure following accumulated demand.
The original call covers heat pumps for space conditioning and/or hot water, excluding air-to-air systems, self-consumption battery storage and private EV charging. Individuals domiciled in the islands could apply to those lines subject to their conditions; the renewable-generation line excluded individuals in categories a) and b). It was not a universal grant for any domestic solar installation.
The CAIB procedure page still displays the old February 2027 end date, but also links to the closure resolution and marks application access closed. A new project budget should not assume this call remains open. Existing applicants should check their files: changing the deadline is not an individual decision granting or refusing an award.
What it means for your home
Do not base an investment on a grant window that has ended. Existing applications need individual checks; filing an application does not guarantee funding.
