Auto+: support for private buyers in Spain
Legal residents can apply until 31 December 2026 at 14:00 Spanish mainland time. Eligibility and available funding determine approval.
What was announced
The BOE published the Auto+ call for private buyers on 4 August. The programme has an overall budget of €350 million. Its intended recipients include adults legally resident in Spain who satisfy the conditions of the call.
The announced application deadline is 31 December 2026 at 14:00, mainland Spanish time. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Buyers must check the purchase conditions, required documents and their position regarding tax and social security obligations.
For anyone buying an electric car alongside home charging equipment, the two investments should be budgeted separately. This call should not be treated as an automatic grant for any charger or electrical installation; those expenses need their own eligibility check.
